A Foodie’s Memories of Gulou
I grew up near Beijing’s famous Bell and Drum Towers, and there’s nobody more familiar with this neighbourhood than me. I spent my whole childhood here and, when I look back, I don’t remember the stress of studying for school and hard geometry problems. What arises in my mind is memories of cycling near Houhai, snowball fighting at Jingshan Park and eating kebabs at Nanluoguxiang.
