CHRISTMAS DINNER WITH THE LIGHTHOUSE UNDERPRIVILIGED BY HOTEL JEN PENANG - “LIGHTING UP THE CHRISTMAS SEASON”

Countries around the world celebrate Christmas as a major festival and public holiday. To mark the holiday season as a “joyous” time for family and friends, Hotel Jen Penang has brought unspeakable joy to 120 needy people associated through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
As part of its annual tradition, the hotel prepared a special Christmas meal for 120 needy people at The Lighthouse Drop-In Centre Penang, with Christmas numbers filling the atmosphere.
Hotel Jen Penang has always been comitted to its CSR initiatives, in which a lot of the upper-level management volunteer to serve food and drinks to the underpriviliged. At The Lighthouse Feeding Centre, the homeless and hungry may drop in for a meal and avail counselling services and basic medical care.
On a separate event, Hotel Jen Penang further lifted the mood of the festive season mood at the heart of Penang. The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was a highly anticipated and memorable event drawing around 200 people of all ages. General Manager Gavin Weightman lit the 20-foot Christmas tree with 30 children from Bright Sparks Learning Centre and Shan Home in the lobby of Hotel Jen Penang on 5 December 2014.
The evening’s highlight was the Christmas carols sung by the Penang Boys Brigade.
