Box Illusions by Haze Long
Hotel Jen Penang by Shangri-La will host a unique art exhibition featuring local artist Haze Long in April 2017. The Box Illusions exhibition will feature more than 35 works by Haze that include Box Illusions as well as modern paintings.
The Box Illusions exhibition is organised in conjunction with Hotel Jen’s experiential programme, Jen-Why Art. This brand campaign provides a platform for discovering emerging artists and interactive creative experiences.
Haze, the first artist to collaborate with Hotel Jen Penang is Malaysia’s speed painter. She is renowned for her murals, illusions and fine art. Haze has produced and created over 100 murals in Malaysia and speed-painted for more than 30 events. She a talented artist who works in many mediums, ranging from spray paint to pyrography.
Speed painting is an artistic technique where an artist uses a limited time to finish the work. On average, Haze can paint in the dark and finish one artwork on a rotating canvas in less than 3 minutes.
To achieve continued success in the industry and differentiate herself from other artists, Haze challenges herself to create new art each time she paints.
The grand launch on 7 April 2017 will have Haze speed paint our VVIP, the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Mr Lim Guan Eng and the iconic KOMTAR. The grand launch will be attended by local media, friends and partners. The event is private and requires an invitation. It will take place from 12noon to 1pm.
