Getting to Know You: Discovering the City
Make your introduction to the city with a leisurely ride up to The Peak on the historic red tram. It's the highest point in the city with panoramic views of Hong Kong, Victoria Harbour and the islands on a clear day. There's also shopping and dining at the mall at the top, making it a real excursion.
The Star Ferry isn't the most efficient way to get from Central to Kowloon, but it's certainly the most scenic. Take the historic ship for a jaunt across the harbour and use it as a starting point for exploring the Kowloon side.
Next, watch the city whizz past with a whirl on the 100-year-old tramways. Affectionately dubbed Ding Ding by the locals, the tramway network runs east and west from Central. Too easy? Simply nab a seat upstairs and people-watch as you cruise towards your destination.
