Red Hot Brisbane Markets
Visiting Brisbane’s night markets is one of the best ways to see the city in action. This is especially true in summer, when you can spend the balmy nights navigating a huge variety of food stalls, sampling mouth-watering nibbles while sipping on craft beers and local wines. Throughout summer, more than a dozen markets springing up in different parts of the city will give you a wonderful night-time experience in Brisbane. Here are two of my favourites:
Eat Street Markets:
This is one of Brisbane’s most popular night markets down by Hamilton Wharf. With international cuisines and boutique beers on offer, the atmosphere at the market is lively and cosy all at once. Their live music stage also features some of the best Aussie musicians. In summer, it runs every Friday and Saturday evening from 4-10pm.
Summer Night Markets:
The new kid on the block is ambitious and packs a punch in a relatively small event space at the Old Museum’s beautiful heritage gardens. There will be food trucks (don’t we all love food trucks) and stalls, selling everything from fresh produce and gourmet treats to artisan wares. Street performers will also be part of the event to keep kids entertained. The markets run every Friday night through to 22 January 2016 (except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).
There are still plenty more night markets and farmers markets in Brisbane worth checking out. Ask my team for recommendations!
