Sometimes, nothing but the finest will do. Slip on your stilettos or button up your suit and sample some of the city's best cuisine at one of my favourite eateries!

It's location, location, location at award-winning restaurant Aria. Located on the Eagle Street Pier with views over the Brisbane River and Story Bridge, it's the ideal place to watch the sun set over the water at the end of your perfect day.

Also riverside is Stokehouse Q, which boasts a sunny deck for enjoying long summer evenings beside the water. Its menu takes its cue from the Mediterranean, updating traditional dishes with modern Australian flair.

Funky bar and eatery Tank is located on Turbot Street in one of the city's many laneways. The atmosphere – relaxed, yet sophisticated. Be sure to check out the extensive pizza menu and the cocktail list.

Enjoy a vantage point above the city at Public on the first floor of 400 George St. Its menu comprising 'sharing plates' makes it the perfect destination for a romantic dinner or a lively meal with friends.
